TAJ MAHAL
The Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is considered to be the most popular tourist attraction in India. The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 for being “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage”.
The construction of the Taj began in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the remains of his beloved wife. In 1631, Mumtaz Mahal died after giving birth to the couple’s 14th child. In all, more than 20,000 workers from India, Persia, Europe and the Ottoman Empire, along with some 1,000 elephants, were brought in to build the mausoleum complex.

AGRA FORT
Agra Fort one of the UNESCO heritage site in Agra. It was built in the year 1573 under the reign of Akbar – one of the greatest Mughal Emperors.
It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. It took more than 4000 workers and 8 years of hardship to complete the fort.

ITMAD-UD-DAULAH’S TOMB
Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb is known for monumental architecture. The tomb has been built with red sandstone. Sometimes this structure is called Baby Taj. It was built by Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, in the years 1622-1628, 5 years before construction of the Taj Mahal began.
MEHTAB BAGH
Mehtab Bagh was built by Mughal Emperor Babur. It’s also known as “Moonlight Garden”. This original design had reflecting pools, pavilions, water fountains and much more. From Mehtab Bagh, you can get close-up view of Taj Mahal.
