GERMANY, MY FIRST EUROPE TRIP

Germany officially the Federal Republic of Germany is a country in Central and Western Europe. The people, language, and traditions are what make the German culture unique. It has had a key role in the history of Europe, and not only. English speakers call it Germany, Germans themselves call it Deutschland. Germany is known as the country of poets and thinkers. German people have a reputation for being disciplined and punctual.

Frankfurt is the business and financial center of Germany. The city is known for its futuristic skyline and the busiest German airport. Frankfurt is an alpha world city and a global hub for commerce, culture, education, tourism and transportation. It is the site of many global and European corporate headquarters.

The Römer, a Frankfurt landmark, is among the most beautiful and oldest town halls. This old town has been a hub of Frankfurt life since ninth century. 52 pictures of the emperor in a splendid imperial hall bear witness to the election and coronation of German rulers, and can also be viewed by the public.

Frankfurt was the birthplace of Germany’s greatest writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Goethe lived here until the age of 16 and returned for long spells in between stints studying in Leipzig and Strasbourg.
